# Creating A Task

#### Step #1

To create a task click the *"Add A Task"* button as highlighted above. This will open up a menu where you can edit all of the fields of a task according to the [Tasks](/oconect/setup-guides/process-mapping/tasks.md#task-type)Definition&#x20;

Note:

If you wanted to make your task a decision then all you need to do is check the highlighted checkbox. This will then allow you to add the extra fields needed to create a decision

#### Step #2

Once you are happy with the data inputted you can click the *"Create Task"* button to create the task. Once created it will show in the task list either at the end or where you specified
