# Processes

***Prerequisites:*** You will need to have at least one or more existing [Departments](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/departments.md),  [People](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/people.md), [Teams](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/teams.md), [Systems](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/systems.md) and [External Value Chains](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/external-value-chains.md) to be created

### Process Type

\* means a required field

* \*Process Name (Text): Can be any text
* \*Process Type  (Selection): Select between *"Automated"* , *"Informal", "Manual"*
* Process Description (Text): Can be any text

Depending on the *"Process Type"* you select there will be 2 different options.

If you selected *"Automated"* then this will be the field related to the Process

-> \*Connected System (System): Searches for a valid [Systems](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/systems.md#system-type) by field *"System Name"*

If you selected *"Informal"* or *"Manual"* then this will be the field related to the process

-> \*Connected Department (Department): Searches for a valid [Departments](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/departments.md#department-type) by field *"Department Name"*

* Connected External Value Chain (External Value Chain): Searches for a valid [External Value Chains](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/external-value-chains.md) by field *"EVC Company Name"*
* Team Name (Team): Searches for a valid [Teams](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/teams.md#team-type) by field *"Team Name"*
* \*Process Owner (Person): Searches for a valid [People](/oconect/setup-guides/enterprise-mapping-manually/people.md#people-type) by field *"Full Name"*
